San Diego Insider launched in 2020 to consolidate trustworthy coastal travel advice. We maintain relationships with city tourism departments, hospitality managers, and community groups to reflect both visitor and resident perspectives. Our editorial calendar runs quarterly; each story is refreshed at least every 120 days or when major news breaks.
We personally test attractions, restaurants, tours, and transit routes. Notes include timestamps, costs, and staff interviews.
Our contributors hold certifications from the Society of American Travel Writers and the San Diego Natural History Museum.
Data cross-checked with City of San Diego open data portals, National Park Service updates, and tourism authority reports.
